What is the typical process of ordering a rowing tank?

Call 603-659-7575 and ask for Coleen or email tanks@durhamboat.com with your phone number and email and the location or zip code of your project and we will get back to you with more detailed questions.

How much does a Dreher Indoor Rowing Tank cost?

There are a variety of factors involved with the pricing of our Indoor Rowing Tanks, specifically: size, configuration and location are the primary drivers of the cost. For this reason it is important for us to create a custom quote for each customer as each project will have varying criteria.

How long does the installation take?

Typically our installations take 5 to 7 days. However, since we offer different length pools in varying configurations that timeline can fluctuate moderately. In addition, there can sometimes be delays due to site preparation prior to our team of installation technicians arriving. Our team of technicians work efficiently and strive to complete the installation within a one week period and avoid a second mobilization.

Are there any safety concerns with an indoor rowing tank?

Keeping the water clean and the floor dry should be priorities of any rowing program. The tank is generally dry except when teaching novices.

If you intend to provide a pump powered filtration system you would at the time of the system installation have to ground each separate weldment line. You should double check the electrical codes in each locality for the specifics required.

Does the indoor rowing tank require power?

The tank room will require lighting, HVAC to control the humidity and temperature in the room, single phase 110/220 volts depending on the country.

Under 2 KW per hour operation on water treatment (20 amp service), powering monitoring feedback devices such as video cameras, monitors or projection units, computers used to display or store monitoring data or force measurement instrumentation. Our designs do not require large power requirements and related operating and maintenance cost of mechanically pumped tanks. The water and sewer expense is less with the Dreher Tanks as the reservoir of water needed with our design is considerably less then other tank designs.

Do you provide any ongoing support or service plan?

Yes. We stock replacement parts or can make replacement tank oars or sculls quickly. If your tank is impacted by a major natural disaster or mishap (flood, fire, etc.) or just need an update or refurbishment, we quote that on a case by case basis and will conduct the repair on an expedited basis if needed. In one case we had a two person team pull out a tank (i.e., two pools) from a recess that had been damaged in a flood and repair all cracks, replace all hardware and re-coat to inner surface, so that the tank looked brand new upon completion of the repair.
